Donald Trump and the book “Zohar” is a combination that would have been hard to imagine a few years ago. But now a man who knows Trump not from newspapers talks about it.

Marla Maples, the former wife of the President of the United States, said that Trump carries an Aramaic copy of the book “Zohar”—one of the main texts of the Jewish mystical tradition.

This detail is especially interesting against the background of Trump’s long-standing connection with the Jewish people.

His daughter Ivanka accepted Judaism before marrying Jared Kushner. Their children are brought up in the Jewish tradition. Trump himself has repeatedly emphasized his support for Israel and his special attitude to the Jewish people.

And now there is another detail – “Zohar”, a book that reveals the deep secrets of the Torah, the soul and the spiritual structure of the world.

This, of course, does not mean that Trump has become a Kabbalist or that he studies “Zohar”. But if Maples’ statement is true, this detail itself is very unusual.

A man whom the whole world is used to seeing primarily as a businessman and politician turns out to be connected with the Jewish tradition not only through his daughter and his own family, but perhaps also through a book that occupies a special place in the history of Jewish spirituality.

Sometimes a big story manifests itself in one small detail. “Zohar” at the heart – perhaps just such a detail.

That new figure on the international Jewish scene is Robert Maxwell, British publisher and industrialist, who has stolen the spotlight from the several American Jewish leaders who aspired to that role. His latest “escapade” was to make possible the trip of the 196 Chernobyl Jewish children to Israel for treatment. The details are unimportant, although they show a determination not to be deterred when obstacles arose that forced him to send his private plane to Bucharest to bring pilots to London to fly the children to Israel.

This latest episode follows on his investment in Israel’s largest daily and in two of the successful Israeli high tech firms making their mark on the world market, not to mention his purchase of one of the Israeli soccer teams.

Russian-Jewish author Mikhail Leonidovich Abramovich writes in his 2018 book Jewish Business: 67 Golden Rules that Microsoft’s BIll Gates is an example of a Jewish billionaire.

“The Rothschild dynasty and Bill Gates, Estee Lauder and George Soros, if you continue the list of the richest people in the world, it will take more than one page. But in addition to fabulous and often incredible financial success, these people have one more thing in common—Jewish origin.”

The claim doesn’t seem to be corroborated anywhere else; however, being as rich as he is, Gates does associate with the Jewish elite of the world, including Chabad Lubavitch, and of late, the apparent KGB/Mossad operative Jeffrey Epstein. Also, he received a Jewish award from Hebrew University in 2008. (Reuters writes that a photo circulating on the web of an apparent young Bill Gates with Chabad Rebbe Mendel Menachem Schneerson is not Gates but someone else. I agree with Reuters assessment. Others claim that Gates is related to Ghislaine Maxwell, which, as far as I can see, is also not true. Ghislaine’s father Robert Maxwell was Czech born and Maxwell was his appropriated surname. Therefore, Ghislaine also is not a true Maxwell, so Gates’ supposed relation to the Maxwell name is irrelevant.)

It could also be that Jews are appropriating non-Jewish success for their own gain, which it seems they dabble in from time to time.

Russian Jewish magazine Lechaim tends to doubt Abramovich’s claim about Gates. Mikhail Maykov writes in his article Are you a Rothschild?,

“By the way, according to Foxman, one of the most common anti-Semitic tricks is the attribution of Jewish origin to non-Jewish businessmen. I hope that Abramovich will remove Bill Gates from the 15th edition of his book.”

Whether Gates is ethnically Jewish or not, he dances to Jewry’s tune. At the same time, he dances to the tune of China and Russia, for the trifecta.

Abramovich goes on to ask in his book,

“Why does money love Jews so much? Perhaps the secret of the success of the Jewish people is that they still honor and observe the moral and ethical rules that are passed down from generation to generation? Maybe it is thanks to this that the Jews are able to create huge financial fortunes.“

If Gates is Jewish, it’s possible his surname was changed from something like Gatz to Gates, much like Jewish actress Phoebe Cates changed her name form Katz.

Today, many people understand the controllability of the ongoing process of the coronavirus epidemic, when direct instructions from an unknown source diverge to heads of state, central banks, governors of regions, large cities and primates of all Abrahamic religions to continue and strengthen the quarantine regime (self-isolation). It became obvious, after the publication in all countries of the world of the decisions of the masters (grand masters) of the national Grand Lodges to cancel the meetings in the lodges in connection with the pandemic, that the Masons are not at the helm of the current global quarantine. The Windsors do not rule the world, as the United Lodge of England has itself gone into quarantine. You can, of course, send orders online using ciphers, but this is not accepted in the secret environment of Masons, because a leak can occur at any time, therefore, only direct contacts. It can be assumed, as some experts and political scientists do, that the world is ruled by Jewish financiers and families with centuries of collecting money and power, but the quarantine left all Jewish communities at home, closing synagogues even on Passover, which caused the wrath of the Orthodox and Hasidic communities. The influence of diasporas in national administrations did not help, quarantine for everyone! One could attribute everything to the treachery of the leading financial families that created Israel and the global capital movement system itself, but today they are losing too much to continue the quarantine that kills capitalism and all its foundations at a time when a new model for the existence of the world capitalism is not visible. communities. Governments and presidents at this universal moment of quarantine, having transferred all responsibility during the pandemic to local administrations, withdrew from the regulation of the economy and politics in the country, rapidly losing not only power, but also money, when even the export of tens of tons of gold to England cannot compensate for all losses. The one who brings peace to the world and deliverance from war will become its main leader, whose instructions will be immediately executed by a self-disciplined civil society, deprived of its own national state and all other signs of national culture, including religion. Why is today the main blow dealt to Christianity, why is Easter canceled everywhere – the Holy Resurrection of Christ? Because Christ – the Savior of the world is the antithesis of the coming leader of the whole world, because those who worship Jesus Christ will not worship the Antichrist, who closes Christian churches and persecutes Christians all over the world. Even a small community of Christians is a terrible threat to the world Sanhedrin, since, according to Newton’s third law, action is equal to reaction, therefore, the pressure of the entire force of the global institutions of the Sanhedrin on the Christian Church causes a response of equal force. One thing was not taken into account by the idealists of the Sanhedrin – as soon as one of the forces exceeds the other, even for a short time, the entire world system will immediately go out of balance. The term for getting out of balance is already known from Holy Scripture – 1260 days.

So, the world Sanhedrin of idealists is approaching the time of the fulfillment of the prophecies about the beginning of the reign of the King of Jerusalem—the ruler of the universe, destroying the old world and creating a new world on its ruins, where the function of money and state formations will disappear. Surprisingly, Russian utopians: Leninists – Trotskyists created the image of the world that is now being built by world revolutionaries—the world Sanhedrin. This new and last revolution will sweep like a coronavirus all over the Earth and all societies will be subordinated to it, as all the ruling elites have a way out of the economic depression ahead, which should not be crowned with stabilization, but will certainly lead to the Third World War. Russia, no matter how the ruling elite would like it, this process will affect very strongly, because the revival of Autocracy – the antipode of the world Sanhedrin – is at stake.

Revisionist Michael Hoffman’s 2017 polemic outing the modern Catholic Church as a “neo-platonic-Hermetic-Kabbalist” counterfeit is a difficult read both actually and in its revelations.

Hoffman begins The Occult Renaissance Church of Rome by condemning the “Church of Rome” as a deviation from the true Catholic Church he estimates began in the early sixteenth century, but in contrast offers a few examples of Catholic clerics, who, by miracle, actually did God’s work, including Fr. Pierre De Smet and Fr. Joseph Cataldo “in their work defending the American Indian….” So, the first two examples Hoffman upholds as renegades against the wayward neoplatonic syncretist Renaissance Pontiffs are two priests, miraculous in their efforts, because they defended a minority group. Is this a Christian apologetic or an argument from the Communist Manifesto? It sounds more like class (race) struggle than a Christian miracle. Fortunately, this subtle neo-Marxism of Hoffman’s doesn’t set the tone for the rest of the book.

Occult Renaissance is written in the usual Hoffman style: verbose, reactionary, bitter, repetitive, contrarian, scornful, and lacking charity at times (see my other review of his about Usury in Christendom). Thus, the 723-page book is quite a strain to read (thought not quite as straining as Hoffman’s Judaism Discovered, which is more a large reference manual than a book for casual Sunday night reading). It seems that his inspiration for the book came about as a reaction to today’s traditional Catholics, whom he sets up repeatedly as the mindless public relations agents of the papacy. So disgusted with their supposed ignorance he must’ve been, he felt compelled to set them all straight—first by writing Usury in Christendom and recently Occult Renaissance.

The implications of the author’s thesis, if true, requires a whole new revision going far beyond what sedevacantists have done with the Second Vatican Council and the associated “anti-popes”. Hoffman’s thesis is that, in contrast to the contemporary traditional Catholic view that the Church was corrupted and left without a valid pope starting at the Second Vatican Council (1958-1965), today’s counterfeit Catholic Church actually was first corrupted under the Medici popes, who opened the Vatican doors to centuries of occult subversion (mainly via saboteurs Marsilio Ficino, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, and Johannes Reuchlin), the justification of usury (Leo X), papal-approved lying (via Alphonsus Liguori’s Talmudic-inspired equivocation, 30 different ways of swearing falsely without guilt, and permission of birth control), and institutionalized pederasty (enabled by papal elitism).

“There is no other science that provides us with greater certainty of Christ’s divinity than magic and Kabbalah,” claims Pico.

Hoffman provides much evidence of Pico’s kabbalistic subversion of the Vatican. He concludes:

Giovanni Pico della Mirandola is the true father of the Second Vatican Council and the “post-Conciliar Church.”

Hoffman’s findings of rabbinic situations ethics peppered throughout modern Catholic teaching is significant; however, it’s ironic considering Hoffman’s own apparent situation ethics when he, as a Christian, associates with and defends the Nation of Islam. It seems their Marxist brand of anti-Zionism is convincing enough for Hoffman to ally with them against “Judaics”.

Also ironic is Hoffman’s fixation with the Tetragrammaton: the supposed secret, ineffable name of God consisting of four Hebrew consonants YHVH, from which we get Yahweh, Jehovah, etc. This supposed name for God is believed by some to be a Kabbalist invention that was inserted into the Masoretic text of the Old Testament (the authoritative Greek Septuagint of the Old Testament translates references to God as only “LORD”). Hoffman admits that the Tetragrammaton is used in magic (invoking demons, etc.) but dismisses the implications of this as merely pagan mockery or abuse of God’s holy name. The New Testament, however, clears up any confusion regarding God’s sacred name.

Phillipians 2:9-10 –  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.

“Jesus” is the name above all names; therefore, Hoffman’s advocacy for the Tetragrammaton is irrelevant to the Christian faith. We are saved by only one name, and that is Jesus Christ. (I am that I am; Aramaic: ehyeh asher ehyeh, is also used for God’s name in the Old Testament)

I was rather disappointed that Jacob Frank’s influence on the Catholic Church was forgotten or ignored by Hoffman. Frankism seems to have aided the Kabbalist syncretism of the “Church of Rome” and may have played a part in shaping the Vatican’s later Mariology (Hoffman takes a more restrained position on the Blessed Virgin Mary—for which I commend him).

Hoffman seems to reject the First Vatican Council (in addition to the Second), at least as it pertains to the dogma of Papal infallibility. His constant cynical use of “papists”, “papalolaters”, “priestcraft”, his many other expressions of disgust with papal power, and his casting of blame for the Church of Rome’s waywardness on the papacy tell us this. What also suggests this is his dating of the divergence from true Roman Catholicism to the Kabbalist “Church of Rome”, which occurred long before the First Vatican Council, at some point in the 15th century (at or just before Pope Leo X). If most or all popes after Leo X have been crypto-occultists (Hoffman claims occult progression following Leo X was “seamless”), then that can only mean the First (and Second) Vatican Council was invalid. Furthermore, Hoffman doesn’t use the common sedevacantist descriptor of “anti-pope” to describe the bad or heretical popes. They are all just popes. With this, Hoffman’s chosen Catholic position or whether he is Catholic at all continues to be a mystery. He could be accused of being a Protestant (esp. a puritan), Eastern Orthodox sympathizer, or other, but since he does not seem to recognize the primacy or infallibility of the pope, technically speaking he can’t be called a new kind of sedevacantist. He equates the power of the Holy See with Pharaohism.

Under Hoffman’s view of seamless occult progression among the papacy, he inevitably indicts Pope Leo XIII but provides little support for this in Occult Renaissance (see my challenge to this claim in Pope Leo XIII’s pontificate did indict the Kabbalah). In general, though, Hoffman’s seamless progression thesis seems plausible when you consider Pope Innocent III’s declaration that “not to oppose erroneous doctrine is to approve of it.” Where was the reversal of this progression? It’s difficult to argue that there ever was a post-Renaissance pope who reversed centuries of papist treason against Christ and His holy Church. According to Hoffman, those popes who seemed to provide a counter to papal syncretism did so as mere concessions to pacify the laity while the subversion continued, part of the two-steps-forward, one-step-back tactic.

As for Hoffman’s least supported claim, of institutionalized pederasty, there is truth to what he is saying, but his biases on this matter were revealed years ago by a contributor of this blog, Jude Duffy, and, therefore, he does not seem to have a good command of this subject.

…my original passing comment about Hoffman (and other alternative media types such as David Icke) alluded to their penchant for uncritically recycling any and all negative narratives the corporate media serve up about the Catholic Church—even though they urge their followers to treat the same media’s narratives about most other issues with contempt. Hoffman in his counter-attack has made no effort to refute this criticism.

As Bill Donohue of the Catholic League says, the Sexual Abuse Lobby is Agenda Ridden.

As much as I don’t care for Hoffman’s writing style—his questionable historiography; his contextual inconsistency; his arrogant and condescending dialogue with his critics and others; his scandalous and inappropriate association with the Nation of Islam; his Marxist views on race and colonialism—many of his arguments in The Occult Renaissance Church of Rome seem well supported.

“Whoever followed Christ when He walked on earth had to be an independent thinker free of the religious authority that controlled the Temple and had condemned Him. But “traditional Catholics” don’t question the pieties, legends, and lies that came before Vatican Council II on the part of saints and popes labeled conservative.”

While I would not recommend this book to recent converts to Roman Catholicism or nominal Catholics who might completely abandon what little there is of their faith after reading Occult Renaissance, I would recommend it to established and “traditional” Catholics. It could bring Catholics to a greater understanding of the usurpation of the one, true Church.

Freemasonry, which is a worldwide secret society, professes to be philanthropic, to strive for a higher moral life for its members, and to direct humanity towards enlightenment, progress, liberty, and truth; whereas, its real object is to substitute the principles of Naturalism and the worship of man, for all things supernatural, and the worship of God. Hence, its progress consists of:—(1) Banishment of religion from all government offices, courts of justice, and all public functions; (2) denial of the Sacramental character of marriage, making it purely secular, to be entered and dissolved at will; (3) complete freedom to every religion, except Catholicism; (4) the universal adoption of State education, in which the very name of God is excluded, and instead is substituted a modern kind of idolatry, which may be rightly called “flag-worship”; (5) full liberty of the press to undermine morality, purity, obedience, and religion; (6) full liberty of the cinema to attack the very foundation of Christian society.

Freemasonry originated in England; the year of its birth is 1717. Its founders were two Protestant ministers, James Anderson, of Scotland, and John Disaguliers, a Frenchman. Mussolini and Hitler have now banned Masonry from Italy and Germany and broken up the lodges. 

At the present day there are 5,500,000 Freemasons all over the world. In the U.S.A., there are 3,000,000; in England, 400,000; and in Ireland 50,000. Therefore, there are only 300,00 Continental Masons. Masonry claims to be the originator of the French Revolution in 1789, as well as the revolutions of 1830 and 1848. Masonry brought about the fall of the Papal States in 1870, the anti-Clericalism of 1900, and the massacre of the Armenians. They boast that they are the chief authors of the present Mexican and Spanish attack on the Catholic Church, as well as being implicated in every revolution for the past 200 years. Jewish masons are said to be at the back of Communism today in Russia. The central object all along is to abolish Christianity and instead establish a godless Jewish-Freemason regime on earth.

Masonry seems to be under the control of great financial Jewish magnates. These latter control the money market, the Press (either through their large advertisements, often covering entire pages, or through the principal press agencies, which are under the sole control of Jews, i.e., Reuters, Wolffs, Havas, and the J.T.A (Jewish Telegraphic Agency). Herein lies the secret of how the Press, all over the world, is unanimous in its misleading news about the Catholic Church, almost daily, as well as in its universal attacks on it at certain fixed times. Hence, Catholics are well aware now that anything they see in the Press about the Church is almost sure to be false, or at least grotesquely distorted. All this is worked according to the plan of campaign issued from a central governing body.

It must be remembered, however, that the vast majority of Masons know nothing of the real aim and objects of their secret organisation, and take no part in them. For them, Masonry is only, at most, a philanthropic society. The rank and file , therefore, do no more than pay fees and attend what, to them, seems no more than innocent meetings.

There are really three kinds of Masons. The worst type are the Blue Masons, composed of apprentices, companions, and masters, and divided up into different degrees. Those degrees are governed by secret committees actually unknown to the very members themselves of the lodges. The next kind is called “Imperfect Freemasonry”. This is comprised of societies under the guidance and direction of Masonry—e.g., the Theosophical Association, Loyal Order of Buffaloes, etc. The last class is what is known as “White Masonry—e.g., the Rotary International, Friends of Israel, Esperanto Association, etc.—the real of each being to spread indifferentism in religion, false internationalism, etc., and thus prepare the ground for the Jewish-Freemason godless kingdom of man on earth, as opposed to the Kingdom of God. Masonry, therefore, has a twofold character—one open and manifest to act as a kind of blind, and the other secret and hidden, where the real harm is done by the chosen few.

If Masonry is innocent, why the terrible oath of secrecy, with its unspeakable threats? Why is the oath taken at every step in the different degrees? The oath taken in the First Degree is as follows: “I, in the presence of the Great Architect of the Universe … do hereby and hereon solemnly and sincerely swear that I will always hide, conceal, and never reveal any part or parts, any point or points, of the secrets or mysteries of or belonging to Free and Accepted Masonry, which may heretofore have been known by, shall now, or may at any future time be communicated to me,” etc. “…These several points I solemnly swear to observe under no less penalty than to have my throat cut across, my tongue torn out by the root, and my body buried in the sands of the sea…or the more efficient punishment of being branded as a wilful perjured individual, void of all moral worth. So help me God,” etc.

No Catholic, under pain of excommunication, can be a Mason (vide New Canon Law, Canon 2335). Masonry was first condemned by Clement XII in 1738. Since then, nine different Popes have condemned it. Pius IX called it the “Synagogue of Satan”. Pope Clement’s words are: “We ordain stringently and in virtue of holy obedience, that (Catholics) shall not be enrolled…affiliated…take part in their proceedings, assist them, or afford them in any way, council, aid, or favor, publicly or privately, directly or indirectly…under pain of excommunication incurred by the very act…. In turn, Marianne’s father was Louis Rothschild (1864-1942), a banker from the German city of Bad Homburg. Later, most of the materials belonging to Klaus Schwab to the Rothschild clan disappeared, as the authors of the sensational news made confusion. Indeed, there were such Fred and Marianne Schwab, and Marianne was indeed from the Rothschild clan, but Klaus Schwab was not among their children. It turns out that Fred and Marianne are the namesakes of our Klaus.

Klaus Schwab solved the problems associated with the illegal supply of components for the production of nuclear weapons by Escher-Wyss to South Africa. This he did at least until 1971, when he established the World Economic Forum (then called the European Management Forum ). Klaus Schwab has an older brother who was born into the family of Eugene and Emma Schwab in 1927. His name is Hans Schwab . He, unlike Klaus, always considered himself a full-fledged Jew (Jewry is determined not by his father, but by his mother), he did not renounce his mother, but he also maintained relations with his father. The first opponents of Judaism and the worldview based on it were the Greeks, and then their civilizational successors, the Romans. Both those and others have achieved tremendous success in science, philosophy, state building, art. The leaders of both nations – Alexander the Great, Pompey, Titus – easily overpowered the Jewish armies. But at the beginning of our era, both peoples adopted a version of the Jewish religion based on the TANAKH. The Jewish God destroyed many of the ancient gods and the colorful beliefs associated with them.

Yet the surrender of those gods was not unconditional. Under the influence of the dualism of the Greek Gnostics, the monotheism of the Jewish sect of Christians, adopted by the Greco-Roman world, was shaken. Decisive for the fate of the new faith was the First Council of Nicaea (325), which established the principle of trinity, decisively separating Christianity from its mother religion.

Twelve centuries later, the dissatisfaction of some peoples with Western Christianity was expressed in the birth of Protestantism, which in ideas, service and rituals approached its source – Judaism. Deism, an offshoot of Protestantism, came especially close to the Jewish understanding of God. But this one was available only to intellectuals, such as the scientist and theologian Isaac Newton or one of the founders of the concept of Americanism, which until now has been the basis of US ideology, Thomas Jefferson. Trinity College at Cambridge University was able to enroll professors who did not recognize Newton’s Trinity doctrine until after the King’s permission.

More widespread than deism, there was another reaction to dissatisfaction with Christianity—Freemasonry. It possessed powerful tools of influence on the adepts: ritual, symbols and mystery. Freemasonry added elements of theater and play to the religious component. The chapters of “War and Peace” by Leo Tolstoy, episodes of Andrzej Wajda’s film “Ashes”, recently very popular, in my opinion, silly book and film “The Da Vinci Code” are about this.

Freemasonry gained influence in England in the years after the Glorious Revolution of 1688, which established Protestantism in the country. In 1717, four London Masonic Lodges founded the Grand Lodge of England. In September 1721, this lodge commissioned James Anderson to write the history of Freemasonry. Anderson’s work, published in 1723 under the title “Constitution of Freemasons”, and its revised version, published in 1738, served as an impetus for the development of the world movement of Freemasons. The history of Anderson’s Freemasonry, included in the Constitution of 1738, became not only official, but also canonical in the movement. In 1734, the young Benjamin Franklin published in Philadelphia an edited version of Anderson’s Constitution (of course, the first), thus giving rise to the spread of Freemasonry in America.

The history of the emergence of Freemasonry as a spiritual movement is vague. Organizationally, it became a superstructure to the already existing guild of real masons – masons. After the appearance of the lodges, a division arose: “working freemasons” and “non-working”. The first were called “comrades” or “brothers”. In an intricate way, the first of these nicknames turned out to be in demand by the creators of the USSR.

Russian-English philosopher and researcher of the phenomenon of Freemasonry, Alexander Pyatigorsky, caustically noted that “Freemasonry, almost from the very beginning of its existence, needed to construct its own past.” However, Anderson in his Constitution referred to some old constitutions that are not known to us.

Anderson’s version of the emergence of Freemasonry repeats the Tanachic history of the Jews with an emphasis on construction as the central part of the course of civilization. The main science required for construction is geometry. Therefore, the symbols of Freemasonry are the square and the compass.

Freemasons are monotheists. They call the Almighty, emphasizing the primacy of construction over everything else, the Great Architect of the Universe. Adam, created in the image of God, was endowed by Him with the mastery of sciences, among others – geometry. The knowledge of geometry was passed on by Adam to the first Freemason, Cain, about whom the Torah says: “And he built the city” (Bereishit 4:17). From Cain, the tradition of Freemasonry passed to the youngest son of Adam Sheth, who erected with his disciples two columns – marble and brick, which kept the knowledge accumulated by the builders.

Anderson’s constitution ranked among the Masons and other characters of the antediluvian world who created something worthwhile. Noah and his three sons, who built the ark, are designated by the Masons. “They say that the name Noahida was used by the ancient Jews in relation to representatives of other peoples who practiced the great principles of religion and morality, without accepting Jewish teaching and ceremony,” Anderson reported. “The Three Great Points of Noach – abstinence from blood, the prohibition of murder and the recognition of civil authority” he called the basis of the beliefs of the Freemasons.

Strictly speaking, Noah left to the descendants not 3 commandments, but 7. But it’s not bad either. We will return to the key concept of “Noahida” assigned to the Freemasons by Anderson.

The central part of the legend of the Masons: their participation in the highest achievement of architecture and construction, inspired from Above – the creation of the Solomon Temple in Jerusalem. “None of the peoples, not all of them, taken together, can compete with the Israelis … and their Temple has always remained a model,” the Constitution decides. At the same time, Masons, unlike Christians, do not claim to replace Jews. At meetings of the Grand Lodge of England, the “chair of Hiram” was assigned only to the second in the hierarchy. The head of the lodge had the “Chair of Solomon”, “the prince of Peace and Architecture under Divine Guidance.”

According to Anderson’s Constitution, “the Mason is obliged, by virtue of his position, to obey the Moral Law; and if he truly understands Art, he will never become a stupid ATHEIST or an irreligious Freethinker.” The theology of Freemasonry as a whole does not differ much from the Jewish one. Here and there extracts from Hebrew texts appear in it. For example, in the story of King Herod, cursed by Christians and without piety, remembered by Jews, the names of two great Jewish teachers of the law suddenly appear. In the Constitution, Herod, “however great his mistakes were, became the greatest builder of his time, Patron or Great Master of many Lodges … with his two Overseers, Hillel and Shamai, learned rabbis …”

The introduction to Freemasonry was attractive, because it introduced into the circle of the elite. Masons were considered a mythological elite, and all special people were considered Masons. Freemasonry spread from England to France, from France to Russia.

The history of France was not particularly influenced by the Freemasons. The poet Vladislav Khodasevich ironically assessed the merits of the Masonic meetings of the pre-war period of the twentieth century: “The opportunity to spend two evenings outside the house.” Not so in Russia. The mystery is conducive to conspiracies. One of them was the uprising of the Decembrists of 1825, or rather a farce called the uprising. Five leaders were hanged, the rest were sent to Siberia. Others – when the Freemasons acquired power in the Kerensky government after the abdication of Nicholas II in February 1917. Bound by the Masonic word given to the French ambassador Palaeologus, the interim leaders of Russia did not leave the war, even when trouble was already on the threshold and threatened to destroy the country.

Not so in America. The plan of the American Revolution and the further organization of the country, developed by the founding fathers, was also a Masonic conspiracy, but successful. “I am convinced that the correct application of the principles on which the Masonic brotherhood is based should contribute to personal virtue and social prosperity,” George Washington wrote in his message to members of the Newport Lodge. Perhaps that is why he recruited exclusively Freemasons into his administration.

Freemasonry gradually lost both secrecy and influence in the United States. Now, among the country’s leading politicians, only the head of the Senate, the insignificant Chuck Schumer, is known as a Freemason, who serves as an example to the fact that Jewry does not ideologically contradict Freemasonry. Back in London in the 18th century, when there were many Jews among the Freemasons and there was talk of including Kabbalah in the esotericism of Freemasonry, the term “Zhidomason” arose.

But there was never any talk of a merger of Freemasons with Jews. Masons were quite satisfied, as I mentioned at the beginning, with the status of Noahides, followers of Noah. The Anderson Constitution says:

Jews do not engage in proselytism, and the rabbis strongly discourage a non-Jew who wants to convert to Judaism from this step, warning about the difficulties of the Jewish path and the persecutions that accompany us throughout our history. But the question remains: what to recommend instead?

In one of the quiet streets of the center of Jerusalem, there is the “Noahid World Center” headed by the famous modern rabbi Uri Sherki. Pinchas Polonsky, a prominent figure in the revival of post-Soviet Jews, also works there. The center develops recommendations for Noahids. He compiled a prayer book for them after the Jewish model, but without prayers especially for Jews. He publishes and organizes lectures on Jewish topics suitable for non-Jews. Communities of Noahids appeared on different continents.

Will this movement be able to seize the appeal of Noahid ideology without the bait of its predecessors: rituals, symbols and secrets, without the theatricality of Freemasonry? It depends to a large extent on which spiritual path the world will follow.
